Atmospheric smoke saunas in Rautjärvi, Southern Karelia, Finland
Hugo's smoke saunas are two authentic, comfortable smoke saunas made of hand-hewn logs on the shores of Lake Rautjärvi, close to the log cabins Hugon huvilat, Hugon Pappila event location and the city of Imatra. Bathing in a smoke sauna is a true Finnish experience – we welcome you to experience it in beautiful Southern Karelia!

Public smoke sauna
Join us in the public sauna evenings! Find out when the next open sauna is on our social media or Whatsapp - join the group here! Close to Imatra and Lappeenranta, this sauna experience is easy to reach again and again. Bring your international guests too! In the first year of operation, we've had bathers from over 30 countries at Hugo's smoke saunas already! Book your spot in the above calendar - starting times are flexible, though!
About the smoke saunas
You can book a smoke sauna or both for your group for the evening. Dressing and washing facilities and lockers for clothes can be found in the adjoining cabins. There is of course also a lake with a beach and a pier for swimming nearby. If agreed, you can also use the electric saunas in the cabins and/or the inherently Finnish, wood-heated saunas on the beach.
The saunas are always carefully heated for our customers; you do not need worry about the heating of these traditional saunas. The saunas can be heated hot or milder according to your wishes.
